About the People’s Nonprofit Accelerator
The People’s Nonprofit Accelerator, formerly Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO), is a membership organization consisting of nonprofit teams and individual professionals representing fundraising, development, marketing/communications, executive/board leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. Our mission is to connect people within the nonprofit community who work with nonprofits, and provide affordable opportunities for professional growth.
Our operating philosophy is that we learn together, we support one another and we improve the nonprofits and the communities they serve.
For over 47 years, we continue to provide educational programming, networking, and other skill-building opportunities that support the nonprofit sector in Oregon, SW Washington, and beyond. We are committed to addressing the needs of nonprofits that includes building systemic solutions, providing a community of peer support, and addressing equity, diversity, inclusion and justice.
Our annual two-day conference gathers 250 - 350 people who are invested in improving their work in individual giving, grant writing, and nonprofit leadership. The program of the conference focuses on several priorities: skills building workshops, engaging plenaries and keynotes on the state of philanthropy and nonprofits, and addressing equity, diversity, inclusion and justice.
The 2024 conference is scheduled for October 23 & 24. The 23rd will be a virtual event and the 24th a hybrid event.
